TRADOC Commander Visits Fort Lee
During the early stages of the COVID-19 Pandemic I worked for the Combined Arms Support Command at Fort Lee, Virginia. I covered how the COVID-19 Pandemic had affected the military installation and how training continued or modified due to the pandemic.
In May of 2020 the commanding general for the US Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), General Paul Funk, paid a visit to the various military specialization schools on the Fort Lee military installation. Here he is seen being given a tour of the Ordnance School and shown the various new tools Soldiers are trained on as part of they time at the School.
For this article I collaborated with another member of the team with him writing up the article describing the event while I focused on taking the photos and documenting the generals visit. The article was publish on the Fort Lee Traveler, a military newspaper affiliated with Fort Lee and the surrounding community. It had a print as well as online presence and this article was published on both mediums. Unfortunately, the Fort Lee Traveler was experiencing a monetary loss and so on January 2021 it ceased its printed edition and moved solely to an online publication.
